Whether you’re replacing your washing machine or settling into a new home, you need to find laundry appliances that will keep your clothes looking like new!
Need help finding the right washer and dryer? Our family is here to help your family with what you need to know.
The decision on what dryer type to get centers around your dryer hook-up, but if you’re remodeling and considering an upgrade, here’s a quick rundown:
Gas dryers require a gas line (natural or liquid propane), a three-pronged, 110-volt outlet, and an external vent. Gas dries laundry loads in about half the time of electric dryers, with less static ling and wrinkles. Plus, in the long run, these dryers are more cost-effective over time.
Electric dryers need a three- or four-pronged, 240-volt outlet and an external vent for installation and require less maintenance over time. For easier installation without a vent, consider ventless dyers like heat-pump dryers, condensers, and compact dryers.
And if you need to dry more delicate items with less wrinkling or shrinkage, consider the gentler drying process of a drying cabinet!
The main difference between top- and front-load washers is in the washing system.
Front-load washers use much less water and impellers to tumble clothes throughout the drum, which is gentler on your clothes. Plus, the front-load design means you can stack your washer and dryer or use laundry pedestals for extra storage.
Top-load washers are the standard design that use central agitators to force out stains and grime. The washing process is quicker than a front-load; however, this process uses more water per cycle and is harsher on your clothes. The top-load design requires less bending and provides easier access than a front-load washing machine.
Deciding between a laundry pair, a stacked laundry tower, or a combo washer dryer depends on your available space and how much you need to wash.
Laundry pairs are ideal if you have plenty of space for two, standard-size machines (27 to 28 inches wide and 30 to 35 inches deep). Pairs match in capacity, features, and finish, which simplifies your laundry needs and looks stylish, too.
Stacked laundry units are ideal in a condo or apartment and for smaller loads. You get similar benefits of a laundry pair but on a much smaller scale.
Washer dryer combos are also beneficial in compact spaces and small laundry loads. These combine a washer and dryer into one appliance, which means you only need to make room for one machine.
Are you looking for commercial laundry machines for your business or apartment housing? Have questions about washing tempatures, making clothes whiter, detergent types, or guided laundry care for table linens or fall apparel?
