Choosing the right cooking appliances for your home can seem a little daunting — the choices seem endless — but have you considered the benefits of a built in cooktop? You can open up your kitchen flow by adding a wall oven at a convenient location, and still have plenty of space for all your stovetop cooking. Decide whether you like to cook with a gas, electric, or induction cooktop, and your culinary potential is endless. At John’s Bedding & Appliance, you’ll find exactly what need, from brand to size, in our selection of cooktops for sale.

    Shop by Brands

Before you decide to buy a cooktop, you have to determine the brand. Of course, you can go with the reliable brand name you trust, but if you aren’t sure, we’ve made a list of some our favorites:

    • A GE cooktop performs well no matter the fuel type, letting you whip up savory goodness. See how GE's futuristic glide controls unlock your potential.
    • A Thermador cooktop has endless simmering potential and shows off your pro-chef potential.
    • A Viking cooktop is high-end and decked out with the latest premium features, so your cooking is flawless.
    • A Whirlpool cooktop feeds yoru family right by bringing you reliable features you can use for every recipe.
    • An LG cooktop goes far with sleek finishes and powerful burners.
    • A Samsung cooktop offers the latest features to enhance every dish.

When comparing cooktops, be sure to look at the difference between cooktop styles before deciding on one of our cooktops for sale.

    Shop by Sizes

Shopping by cooktop size is essential. While a drop in cooktop is designed for 24 in deep counters (from front to back), you need to measure for the overall appliance width. Keep in mind that the cooktop dimensions and cutout dimensions are not the same, so be sure to take both measurements into account. Our what to expect fom your new appliance blog goes more in-depth.

    • A 30 inch cooktop is a standard size, featuring four to five burners. Check out 24 in cooktops if you don’t have the space for a 30 in.
    • A 36 inch cooktop is slightly larger and typically features five or six burners.
    • A 48 inch cooktop is a pro-style size cooktop with six or more burners (some may have built in griddles).

If you like the idea of expanding the burners on your built in cooktop, look for an electric or induction cooktop with bridgeable elements. And if you don’t have the space for a range hood, look for cooktops with downdraft ventilation.
