Shop by Sizes

Shopping by cooktop size is essential. While a drop in cooktop is designed for 24 in deep counters (from front to back), you need to measure for the overall appliance width. • A 30 inch cooktop is a standard size, featuring four to five burners. Check out 24 in cooktops if you don’t have the space for a 30 in.
• A 36 inch cooktop is slightly larger and typically features five or six burners.
• A 48 inch cooktop is a pro-style size cooktop with six or more burners (some may have built in griddles).

If you like the idea of expanding the burners on your built in cooktop, look for an electric or induction cooktop with bridgeable elements. And if you don’t have the space for a range hood, look for cooktops with downdraft ventilation.
